Under the tent at the Tanger Outlet Center, hot chowder was the cure for a cool day at the 8th annual Lincoln City Chowder Cook-Off Saturday, Nov. 10, as nine Oregon restaurants competed for the title of “Best Chowder.”
First-place was awarded to Mt. Hood-based Timberline Lodge for their clam chowder, with second-place honors going to the Rockfish Bakery of Lincoln City for their Provencal Seafood Stew. A third-place plaque went to J’s Fish & Chips of Lincoln City with their bacon-free clam chowder.
