Dale Eugene Dixon, 66, of Terrebonne, Ore., died of natural causes on Nov. 9, 2012 at his home.
He was born April 8, 1945 to Lillie Guffy in Hailey, Idaho. In 1964, he graduated from Pocatello High School in Pocatello, Idaho.
Dale served in the Vietnam War while in the Air Force. He was a deputy sheriff in Toledo, Wash. and then in Hawthorne, Nev. At one point, he also worked as a security guard in Reno. He retired as a school custodian in Toledo, Ore.
He loved camping, fishing, cooking and wood crafting. He also enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks play and watching NASCAR races.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Dixon, of Terrebonne; mother, Lillie Dixon of Pocatello; son, Dale Dixon Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; stepdaughters, Lori Robinson of Bend, and Linda Manning of Toledo, Ore.; stepson, Dan Heydon of Bend; brothers, Cecil Dixon of Spokane and Jerry Dixon of Pocatello; granddaughter, Barbarajean Dixon of Tampa; step-grandsons, Ryan and Mason Robinson, of Bend, and Brent, Brandon and Bryce Manning of Toledo, Ore.; and step-granddaughter, Hannah Robinson of Bend.
