OSU Master Gardeners recognized for efforts

Lincoln County Master Gardeners were recently recognized for their achievements during this year. The OSU Lincoln County Extension Leadership Award was recently presented to Bill Hutmacher in appreciation for his contributions in promoting and supporting the extension master gardener program. He has spearheaded educational initiatives and training programs for office orientation and the plant clinic help desk program, along with fostering an environment where everyone succeeds. Master gardener apprentices, veterans and the community have benefited since 2008 from his years of service. Through his commitment and support, he has been instrumental in fostering science-based research, demonstration and education in home horticulture.
