“We’re engaged. Are you?” That’s the theme of the campaign to bring marriage equality to Oregon. The community is invited to join friends, neighbors and Basic Rights Oregon to celebrate recent victories in other states for the freedom to marry and to engage the community in a plan to win the freedom to marry in Oregon. The event will be held at St. Stephen Episcopal Church, SW Ninth and Hurbert streets in Newport, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4.
