See salmon in their spawning colors and visit a salmon habitat restoration site with the MidCoast Watersheds Council on Sunday, Dec. 2. The group will be touring the site on Cook Creek near Toledo. This is a free public event, and hot cocoa is included.

Meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the MCWC/Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District office near Newport Candy’s Ice Cream Shop in the JC Thriftway parking lot in Newport to carpool to the site. Bring appropriate cold/wet weather gear and sturdy shoes; binoculars are also helpful.
