Reading and writing prose poetry is workshop topic

Free event takes place Nov. 20 at Newport Public Library

Willamette Writers Coast Branch continues its free Writers-on-Writing workshops at the Newport Public Library from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, with Steve Jones leading a workshop on reading and writing prose poetry.

Jones has a fun and educational evening planned, and attendees can look forward to reading several pithy prose poems and trying their hand at playfully writing one or two.
