Homeless gay teens topic at meeting

Oregon Central Coast PFLAG (Parents, Family & Friends of Lesbians and Gays) will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Stephen’s Church at SW Ninth and Hurbert streets in Newport.

The topic for information and discussion will be the problems facing homeless gay teens. The PBS film, “Feels Like Home: Helping Homeless LGBT Youth” will be shown, and discussion will include experiences of those in Lincoln County. PFLAG meetings also include time for support groups, as well as refreshments and conversation.
