A crew from W.W. Construction works to install a storm drain and sewer line at the corner of NE Second and Avery streets in Newport Thursday morning. Newport Public Works Director Tim Gross said the project, which also includes work on part of NE Third Street, should be complete by the end of November. The work has been the city’s list of projects for a few years. Estimated cost is $335,000.
