Yachats charter amendment fails by four votes

YACHATS - The Yachats City Council’s second attempt this year to convince voters to amend the city charter failed this week, but by an even closer margin. Measure 21-145 would have allowed the city to discuss property purchases with interested parties without prior approval of the voters.
