Man arrested for assault

At 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 16, a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Elk City Road near Toledo.

A female reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend and was hiding in an area away from the residence. The deputy and a Toledo police officer arrived and found a male subject outside who matched the description of one of the involved parties. The deputy made contact with the female caller.

After an investigation, Benjamen Bradley Stokes, 28, of Toledo, was arrested for Assault IV- domestic violence. He was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail with bail was set at $15,000.
