The beauty of community theater and Red Octopus Theatre’s 30-plus years of commitment to it on the Oregon coast is that a wide range of participants can become involved. By its very nature, theater is collaborative. In fact, often more people are helping behind the scenes than on stage. With a clear goal, a working harmony between the people involved and a willingness to learn and grow, what appears on stage before an audience can be life changing for both audience and production members. Riveting drama, expression through song, or subjects that touch us are all elements of what makes the live theatre experience so compelling.
