“Aunt Iva’s Quilt,” pieced by Iva Wiggins Mills prior to 1950 and quilted in 2005-2006 by Evelyn DePaolo, of South Beach and Sherwood, is now on display at the Log Cabin Museum of the Lincoln County Historical Society.

Mills, from Iola, Kan., gave the quilt to DePaolo’s mother’s twin sister, who then gave it to DePaolo in 2005, along with two other quilted tops.

The cotton quilt features colorful stars on a red and white background. The design probably was original to Mills.
