OCCC to host export class
A full day seminar on export strategies, tools and techniques sponsored by the Portland Export Assistance Center will take place at the main campus of Oregon Coast Community College in next month.
With 95 percent of the world’s population and more than 70 percent of the world’s purchasing power outside the United States, goods and service providers should consider global markets. The “Take Your Business Global” seminar is designed to provide U.S. companies the basics needed to begin or develop their export sales. It will help established businesses develop an export market, supply occasional exporters with tools to expand and offer current exporters a forum in export business development.
Topics include getting started, finding new markets, getting paid, shipping and export controls and compliance. The exporting seminar takes place Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the OCCC Community Room. Cost is $100 and advanced registration is required.
