‘Frankenstein’ on screen at Newport Library

The Newport Public Library will show Universal Studio’s 1931 film, “Frankenstein,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.

This movie was based on Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s 1818 Gothic novel, “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.” Colin Clive stars as Henry Frankenstein, with Boris Karloff playing the role of his grotesque creation.
