Volunteering: a time-honored tradition
Recently I noted in this space that I felt non-good about being seemingly ignored by the Lincoln County School District simply because I was not the type to complain. Well, I am proud to report that my non-complaint, as printed in some 10,000 newspapers, seems to have worked; work crews are finishing the work project in my room as you read this. (I pray you are not reading this in December.)
Having said that, let me make it very clear I in no way think the leadership of the LCSD moved me to the front of the pile simply because I started whining to every taxpayer and parent in Lincoln County. They are far better and more sincere people than that.
