Fundraiser for Sophie Comfort is Oct. 12

A dinner and silent auction fundraiser will be held for the family of Sophie Comfort from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Nazarene Church, 227 NW 12th St. in Newport.

Sophie, 3, was diagnosed with B-cell ALL leukemia in July. She will undergo treatments for about two years.
