Oregon wave energy site receives $4-million grant

NEWPORT – On the heels of a poll showing strong public support for ocean renewable energy, the U.S. Department of Energy has awarded a $4-million grant to the Northwest National Marine Renewable Energy Center (NNMREC) to create a grid-connected wave energy test site off the Oregon coast.
