David Eugene Kennedy

David Eugene Kennedy, 71, of Tidewater, Ore., died June 15, 2012 of a cardiac event while fishing at Odell Lake.

He was born Feb. 25, 1941 to Raymond and Inez Kennedy in Pleasanton, Kan. He graduated from high school and later attended one year of college. David was self-employed as a mason contractor.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Newport, Ore. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Arlene Janet Kennedy, of Tidewater; children, Shawnna (David) Smallwood of Tidewater and Shaelene (John) Beadley of Salem; siblings, Dale Kennedy of Lebanon, and Rayahn Horm of Arizona; and four grandchildren, Breena, Chelsea, Shantae and Whitney.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Affordable Burial and Cremation is handling arrangements.
