Council awards Bayfront sidewalk contract
NEWPORT - Garbage is a $3 million business here, but it’s not all about trash. Impressed by its story of community involvement and services that go beyond curbside pickup, the city council on Monday unanimously authorized a 2 percent increase in garbage rates for Thompson Sanitary Service.
