Paying tribute to retiring commissioner Don Lindly (center), commissioners Bill Hall and Terry Thompson hold “Lindly masks” during Wednesday’s commission meeting. One by one, nearly everyone in the room stood up with a similar mask and said “Hi, I’m Don Lindly,” in advance of comments by County Counsel Wayne Belmont. Belmont jokingly said he would tell anyone who pretended to be the retiring commissioner, “I served with the real Don Lindly. I played golf with the real Don Lindly.
