Hand bell choir concert is Saturday

The Central Coast Chorale Hand Bell Choirs will take center stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 227 NE 12th St. in Newport.

The Central Coast Chorale Ringers will perform a variety of selections including “Chariots of Fire” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” from the motion picture genre, a couple of pieces, “Ole!” and “Gypsy Dance,” with a rhythmic flair, a sonorous piece, “Soliloquy For Bells,” and a tongue-in-cheek presentation of “PDQ Bells,” by Kevin McChesney.
