Goin’ south
South sucks.
A geography teacher, I tend to think of things by the compass. I’ve always been this way, though now living in a county that’s about 50 miles long and 18 feet wide, I find it particularly helpful to know that west is never a place I want to end up in my car.
Today, my thoughts are of south, which I must concede is normally a good direction. The source of sun, warmth, and advanced cultures that don’t think putting an umbrella in your brightly colored drink makes you a woman, it is one of my favorite directions. (I have to believe this is the only reason a brewpub has yet to make pink and Caribbean-blue beers.)
