William Lewis Reeves, 65, of South Beach, Ore., died April 21, 2012 at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Ore.
He was born April 13, 1947 to Margie Louise Lyons and James Reeves in Ventura, Calif.
He graduated from Siletz High School and continued with an electrician’s degree. Billy was a Vietnam-era veteran, a member of the 502 division of the 101st Airborne. He was a logger for a short time, but he was a proudest to be a longtime commercial fisherman on the Oregon coast.
He is survived by three sisters and two brothers. He was a “father” to more than just his own biological children, Renee Brandon and Daniel Reeves; and a papa to more than his own grandchildren Zack, Rylie, Grace, Attila and Bohdacia; and a great-grandchild.
A celebration of life potluck for his family and friends will be at 5 p.m. Monday, May 7, at the Barge Inn, 358 SW Bay Blvd. on Newport’s Bayfront.
