Modified: Friday, Apr 22nd, 2011

FEMA funds may cover insurance deductible

Docks in Depoe Bay damaged in the March 11 tsunami surge should be up and running again in about two weeks, according to Terry Owings, public works supervisor in Depoe Bay.

This news comes just five days after the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) notified Gov. John Kitzhaber that Lincoln County had been added to a federal disaster declaration related to the March 11 tsunami incident.

According to Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Lt. Curtis Landers, FEMA said the county could be eligible for reimbursement totaling $182,059 for replacement of Dock 1, which was destroyed.
