Albert Herman Ullman, 95, of Philomath, Ore., died Nov. 14, 2009 at his home.
He was born Sept. 17, 1914 to August and Ida Ullman in Salado.
From 1942 to 1945, he served in the U.S. Navy as part of the Seabees.
He was a longtime resident of the Elk City area prior to moving to Siletz in 1972. Five years ago, he and his wife, Lena, moved to Philomath to be near their children.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Frieda Folmsbee, and brothers, Emil Ullman and Walter Ullman.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lena Ullman; son, Edward (Emily) Grinstead; daughter, Marianne (Tom) Settelmeyer; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 231 Logsden Road, in Siletz. A luncheon will follow the service.
