People are invited to construct Japanese-style butterfly kites on Thursday, Aug. 7, with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service volunteer Lee Sliman, who will provide instructions and free materials. The event will be held at the Connie Hansen Garden, 1931 NW 33rd St., Lincoln City.
