Pamela Ann Hill
Pamela Ann Hill, 56, of Tidewater, Ore., died of a stroke on Oct. 5, 2012 in Corvallis, Ore.

She was born May 3, 1956 to Ceilia and Jack Carter of Long Beach, Calif. She lived most of her life in Modesto, Calif. where she worked as a certified nursing assistant in local homes and hospitals.

She met and married Patrick Hill in 1980 and spent most of her life being a homemaker and wife. They moved to Tidewater in 2004 to embrace a quieter lifestyle. She passed away after a long decline in her health.

She served as President of Ceres Junior Chamber in California.

She loved to explore out of the way places, festivals, and discover new foods to master the art of cooking.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ceilia Carter; and grandmother Ruby Morris.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Patrick Hill; daughters, Christine Hill of Waldport and Stephanie King of Waldport; son Brian Hill of Modesto; siblings, Alvin Carter of Oregon, Patricia Turner of California, Allen Carter of New Mexico, Scott Carter of California, and Randy Carter of New York; and 10 grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Waldport Foursquare Church in Waldport.

Affordable Burial and Cremation is handling arrangements.
