Stanley Emery

Stanley Earl Emery, 74, of Cheshire, Ore., died of cancer on July 25, 2012.

He was born Nov. 6, 1937, to Ted and Gladys (Stingley) Emery in Bend, Ore.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. Stanley was a truck driver for Braxlin Trucking. He worked for the City of Newport and was also a volunteer firefighter in Newport.

He is survived by his domestic partner of 37 years, Marjorie Mullican; daughters, Michelle Emery-Valente of Mount Lake Terrace, Wash. and Josie Emery of Toledo; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No service is planned.

Sunset Hills Cemetery, Funeral Home and Crematorium in Eugene is handling arrangements.
