Debbie Dorrine (Hurlock) Burril, 49, of South Beach, Ore., died June 28, 2012 at her home.
She was born Sept. 3, 1962 to James Hurlock and Sylvia Pedersen in Portland, Ore. She graduated from Reynolds High in 1980 and had two daughters, Amber and Jenni. In 2000, Debbie married Jacki Burril and decided to continue her education. Debbie graduated from Mt. Hood Community College and then went to Oregon Heath Science University and the Oregon Institute of Technology. She graduated as an honor student from both.
Debbie worked at North Bend Medical Center as a microbiologist, a job she loved.
Debbie and Jacki moved to South Beach so that she could realize her dream of living on the coast. Together, Jacki and Debbie spent the past two years fighting her cancer together.
She is survived by her husband, Jacki; daughters, Amber and Jenni; stepsons, Randy and Travis; parents, James and Sylvia; siblings, Clayt, Jim, Debbie, Sheryl, Laurie and Salisa; and granddaughter, Hayden.
A celebration of life will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the M & M Restaurant in downtown Gresham.
