William Jesse Eves

William Jesse Eves, 81, of Otter Rock, Ore., died June 16, 2012.

He was born Aug. 3, 1930 in St. Louis, Mo. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a seaman on the aircraft carrier Salerno Bay.

He was married to Vivian Brunner for 54 years. Bill worked as an electrical engineer with The Boeing Company for 28 years in Seattle. Bill and Vivian raised three children, Nancy, Matthew and Sharon.

He was preceded in death by his son Mathew Eves.

He is survived by his daughter Nancy (Tom) Palazzo; and Sharon (Ed) Cunningham; granddaughters, Maria, Rachel and Natalie; grandsons, Cody, Alan and Peter; and step grandchildren Mike, Matt and Melanie.

Memorial Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday June 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 927 N. Coast Highway in Newport. Interment of his cremated remains will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 2 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
