William P. Jordan, 73, of Otis, Ore., died of cancer Nov. 8, 2009 at his home.

He was born July 1, 1936 in Massachusetts.

He served in the U.S. Navy and as a merchant mariner. After his military service, he returned to school and earned an associate degree in electronic engineering.

He worked as a TV repair technician until he retired.

He enjoyed playing guitar, studying chemistry and science.

He is survived by his guardians and caretakers, Ronald and Judie Wade of Otis, James and Charlinda Wade, and Wanda and Lee Wade.

A graveside service with full military honors was held Monday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
