Camacho goes at it alone, Cub girls glide around Cascade

Carlos Camacho looked to his left, then his right, listened closely for footsteps but didn't hear anything.

Halfway through his 800-meter dash on Tuesday at the Newport track team's Oregon West District Meet with Cascade, the third-fastest 4A 800 runner in the state was all by his lonesome, companionless on his own island, if you will.
