Scott, Vasquez start down path towards Hayward

Alexandria Scott wants to go where no Taft girls' track athlete has gone in years-Hayward Field for the 4A State Championships.

In the last 10 years, the Lady Tigers have only sent two girls to the state meet and one of them was a thrower. History by itself says Scott has long odds of even having a puncher's chance of reaching the Promised Land but the senior is resolute in her determination to rewrite Taft's history books.
