Cubs’ comeback thwarted by Eagle overtime run

When Rob Hoeft unflappably drained the tying three to send Newport’s game with Elmira to overtime, and then opened the extra session with another rainmaker to put his team up 47-44, all signs pointed to a Cub victory.
