Waldport’s Ryan Childress carries for a short gain during the second quarter against the Santiam Christian Eagles on Oct. 23 at home. The Irish kept the game close in the first half against the 7-1 Eagles, finishing the second quarter 13-3 behind Santiam Christian. The Eagles dominated the second half to wrap up a 43-3 win. Waldport’s homecoming game is against Creswell today (Friday).
