Despite rumors that some ticket holders couldn’t get in, organizers of the 2013 Newport Seafood & Wine Festival were able to fit more than 20,000 people through a sprawling South Beach tent over the course of the four-day festival that made it one of the best-attended events in the event’s 36 years. NEWPORT — Rumors of prolonged delays to get into the 2013 Newport Seafood & Wine Festival caused many visitors who pre-purchased their tickets to walk away from a long waiting line on Saturday, considered the busiest of the four-day affair that ended Sunday.
