Chief says teachers shouldn’t carry guns

NEWPORT — Newport Police Chief Mark Miranda and National Rifle Association instructor Dusty Baker are both skilled marksmen who know the law inside and out, are devoted to serving and protecting others and pack handguns as part of their professions.
