OTTER ROCK — High winds toppled a 24-inch diameter fir tree into a main power line at the southern base of Cape Foulweather Wednesday night, snapping a utility pole and causing lines to sag in the path of a semi-trailer truck that severed cable service to as many as 10,000 residential and business customers of Charter Communications.
