Fishermen reject commercial wave energy development

Group says research more beneficial to community

NEWPORT – A group called Fishermen Involved in Natural Energy (FINE) last week flat rejected the Territorial Sea Plan Advisory Committee’s call to recommend at least one suitable site for commercial wave energy development close to Newport. They opted instead to propose a site for large-scale research.
