About 80 people packed the Lincoln City council chambers Tuesday for a planning commission hearing on the annexation of Roads End. Two dozen people spoke against annexation, saying they couldn’t afford the increase in taxes. On Wednesday, commissioners spent just 10 minutes deliberating before unanimously recommending the city move forward with the annexation. The city council will take up the issue on Nov. 19. Angry residents want issue put on ballot
LINCOLN CITY – After hearing two nights of public input and receiving dozens of written testimonies, the Lincoln City Planning Commission spent just 10 minutes deliberating before unanimously recommending that the city move ahead with the annexation of the Roads End area.
