Inmates clear Safe Haven Hill

NEWPORT — A work gang of six Lincoln Co. Jail inmates assaulted Safe Haven Hill 24 hours before a South Beach tsunami exercise on Thursday, clearing the summit and trails of thickets and wind-blown trees, two truckloads of garbage and a homeless camper.
